Part of being a church family is to care for others. One way to establish close ties with other Christians is to become involved in a small group. At Cornerstone we refer to our small groups as "Life Teams." A Life Team serves as your rescue in times of need, encouragement in times of struggle, and celebration in times of good.

What Happens in a Life Team?
While prayer and discussion of curriculum are key elements of a Life Team, the driving force behind Life Teams is to build relationships.
Life Teams are designed to be encouraging environments where people feel free to be themselves. There’s also a commitment to be available to meet each other’s needs.
What if I already meet in a Small Group Study?
One of the goals of Life Teams is to multiply. Each team should start (multiply) a new Life Team within 18-24 months. This allows others to experience the Life Team relationship.
A “Typical” Life Team Meeting
Our recommended Life Team structure is a three-part agenda for every meeting and which lasts from 1.5– 3 hours. Each part of the agenda shares equal importance, but not necessarily equal time.
- The first element of every Life Team meeting should be a time of socializing, and usually involves sharing food.
- The lesson itself may take as much as 50% of your group’s meeting time and the lesson may be taught by a leader or may be DVD led.
- Each Life Team shares prayer requests and spends time in large group prayer.
