Cornerstone University

"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." 2Timothy 2:15

The goal of taking courses at Cornerstone University is to achieve an understanding of the Bible that matches what you would find in a Christian college without the expense of a formal college campus.  Classes meet on Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Cornerstone.  Each course lasts approximately seven weeks.

The program of Cornerstone University is built upon four tracks:
Basic Theology
Christian Ministry
Practical Christianity
Biblical Foundations

These four tracks comprise the four years of classes at Cornerstone and can be taken in any order. Each of these tracks is comprised of five individual classes, each of which lasts for seven weeks. These classes cover a wide variety of topics, assuring that the graduate will finish the program with a wealth of information.

While the goal of the program is to finish all four tracks, certificates of completion will be issued at the conclusion of each individual track. Thus, the student completing the whole program will have four certificates – one for each of the four tracks.

MOPS

MopsLogoCornerstone's Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) organization is part of MOPS International. MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

Make A Better World

This is why Cornerstone Christian Church has sponsored a local MOPS Charter. We here at Cornerstone know how important mothering is and we want to take the opportunity to support MOPS Moms in a caring environment where friendships are made and where moms can relax and have fun, taking some time to recharge.  If you would like more information on MOPS International, visit the webpage mops.org.

Celebrate Recovery

celebrate_recoveryCelebrate Recovery is a ministry based on biblical principles with a goal to let God work through us in providing His healing power through a Christ-centered 12-Step program. This experience allows people to be "changed" spiritually by working through sound biblical principles.

Celebrate Recovery is based on God's Word, the Bible. When Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount, He began by stating eight ways to be happy. Today we call them the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-10). These eight principles are God's road to recovery, wholeness, growth, and spiritual Christ-like maturity. Celebrate Recovery utilizes the biblical truth that we need each other in order to grow spiritually and emotionally. It is built around small group interaction and the fellowship of a caring community that is built on the New Testament principle that we don't get well by ourselves. We need each other. Fellowship and accountability are two important components of spiritual growth.

Celebrate Recovery addresses all types of habits, hurts, and hang-ups. Some recovery programs deal only with alcohol or drugs or another single problem. But Celebrate Recovery is a "large umbrella" program under which a limitless number of issues can be dealt with.  When you think about it . . . everyone can identify a habit, hurt, or hang-up that causes you to stumble!

If you would like more information about Cornerstone's Celebrate Recovery meetings, please let us know.

Life Teams

Part of being a church family is to care for others. One way to establish close ties with other Christians is to become involved in a small group. At Cornerstone we refer to our small groups as "Life Teams." A Life Team serves as your rescue in times of need, encouragement in times of struggle, and celebration in times of good.
